Today, MisMacK is more than a cosmetics company. It is a team of creative, passionate people brought together by community, innovation, and genuine connection.

Each person brings their own story, experience, and personality to MisMacK.

Missy MacKintosh


Internationally acclaimed professional makeup artist, award winning entrepreneur, innovator and creator of Sports Colour Cosmetics™, Missy MacKintosh founded MisMacK with a vision to create cosmetics that could do more, combining Pro Performance with intentional, high integrity ingredients.

What began in the basement of her home in Canoe, British Columbia, has grown into a proudly Canadian brand, a national retail presence, and an entirely new category of cosmetics.

Missy leads MisMacK with creativity, resilience, and a genuine love for helping people feel confident in who they already are.

Each brings something special to the brand, but we are connected by one shared purpose:

Partner & Chief Brand Officer

Jessica Rae

Jessica Rae is MisMacK’s Chief Brand Officer, partner, and Missy’s trusted creative counterpart. She helps shape how the brand looks, sounds, and shows up in the world through photography, creative direction, marketing, campaigns, and customer experience, to name a few.

Jessica first discovered MisMacK after moving to Salmon Arm in 2022 and approaching Missy as a professional photographer. They clicked almost immediately, and Jessica soon began creating product photography for the brand.

Her journey into MisMacK happened one yes at a time. What began as a few days each week eventually became a full time role. After Missy and Evan returned from Dragons’ Den, Jessica asked if she could invest. She believed deeply in what they were building and wanted to be part of where it was going.

“At its core, MisMacK is about people. We want every person to feel seen, supported, and confident being exactly who they already are.”

To Jessica, “Every Age. Every Stage.” means there is no expiry date on self expression, confidence, or creativity.

Jessica’s MisMacK Must Have

Jessica loves mixing DePuff & Prime with ART Shadows to create gel liners, eyebrow colours, lip liners, and lip stains.

As someone who lives with trichotillomania, creating eyebrows that stay in place through heat, sweat, and hot flashes gives her incredible confidence.

A Little Something Fun

Jessica loves simple routines and bold colour, has signature copper hair, and is slightly obsessed with alpacas.

Store Director & Lead Makeup Artist

Katie

Katie is MisMacK’s Store Director and Lead Makeup Artist at the MisMacK Studio in Salmon Arm. She helps create a welcoming, supportive experience for every person who walks through the door, whether they are discovering MisMacK for the first time or finding new ways to use products they already love.

Katie first discovered MisMacK when a friend sent her a job posting and said, “This sounds exactly like you!” After exploring the website and connecting with everything MisMacK stood for, she walked into the store with her resume and introduced herself to Missy. Missy called her the next day for an interview, and the rest is history.

What Katie loves most is working with products that are safe, easy to use, and truly perform. She also loves being part of an upbeat, positive team and helping customers feel comfortable, confident, and inspired.

“Every Age. Every Stage. means MisMacK is for everyone. Whether you love neutral shades or bold colour, a full face or simply great skincare, our multi use ecosystem makes it easy without needing thirty different products in your drawer.”

Katie’s MisMacK Must Haves

If Katie could choose only three products, they would be Nourishing Skin Oil, Flawless Foundation, and AMP’D UP Mascara.

The Skin Oil has completely transformed her skin, while Flawless Foundation changed the way she wears makeup by allowing her skin to still look and feel like her. AMP’D UP Mascara easily replaced every mascara she previously loved.

Her current favourite pairing is mixing a little GAIA Gloss into Flawless Foundation for an extra glowy, dewy look.

A Little Something Fun

Katie is mostly a simple, neutral makeup person. Salmon, Shade, and Coco are her everyday ART Shadow favourites, but she never says no to a glitter eye for a night out.

Customer Experience Manager and Hair Styling Guru

Angela

Ange is MisMacK’s Store Experience Manager and Hair and Makeup Artist. She helps ensure every person who enters the MisMacK Studio feels welcome, supported, and completely comfortable being exactly who they are.

As a local hairstylist, Ange first heard about MisMacK through clients arriving for special event and wedding hairstyling after having their makeup done at the studio. They always looked incredible and talked about what a fun, fabulous experience they had.

Her own MisMacK journey began with a Pampering Session with Katie before travelling to Toronto for a hair awards night. After years of feeling frustrated with makeup that no longer worked for her, Ange discovered products that felt good, stayed put all night, and left her skin feeling incredible.

Her connection to MisMacK grew through their shared commitment to mental health. MisMacK was one of the first local businesses to support fundraising for Ange’s nonprofit, the C.A.K.E. Foundation, through Grit Kit sales. After Ange and her husband invested in the company, she was invited to meet with the team and consider joining them. She leapt in with both feet.

Ange’s hands down favourite is Nourishing Skin Oil. It has completely transformed her skin, improved the appearance of past scarring, restored balance, and given her the confidence to stop feeling like she needs to hide her skin.

Her favourite makeup trick is mixing DePuff & Prime with Stone ART Shadow and applying it with an angled brush. It gives her naturally light eyebrows subtle definition that stays in place all day.

Ange loves changing her look through her hair, clothing, and makeup. Some days she reaches for bold colour and glitter, while other days she loves a simple, fresh faced look.

She is especially excited to continue growing as a MisMacK Makeup Artist and creating looks for many more faces at every age and every stage.

Lila

Lila has been part of the MisMacK story since the very beginning. While working as a professional photographer, she collaborated with Missy on many early projects and had the opportunity to watch the MisMacK journey unfold from the start.

In 2021, Lila officially joined MisMacK as one of its first team members and helped open the flagship store in Salmon Arm. Today, as Logistics Manager, she helps keep products moving, orders organized, and countless details running smoothly behind the scenes.

What Lila loves most about MisMacK is the collaboration and community.

“I get to work alongside some of the most inspiring and dedicated women I know. Together, we are helping pave a new path in the cosmetics and sports industries.”

MisMacK has supported Lila through many stages of her own life. During a time when her skin reacted to almost every product she tried, MisMacK helped her transition to clean cosmetics without losing the creativity and self expression she loves.

Lila’s MisMacK Must Haves

For sun care, Lila cannot live without Body Glow Oil. She wears it every day for hydration and a touch of luminous shimmer, no matter what she has planned.

For cosmetics, her must have is ART Shadow in Kamloops. She uses it on her brows and eyes, and even transforms it into a bronzer or contour shade.

Lila’s Multi Use Magic

Lila mixes a small amount of Flawless Foundation with Body Glow Oil and a touch of GAIA Gloss. She warms the mixture between her hands and applies it like a tinted moisturizer for hydrated, even looking skin with a natural glow.

Anything by Grace Potter instantly puts Lila in a good mood. She once even created a custom jacket for Grace using MisMacK GlitterEnvi biodegradable glitter.

Lila is equal parts simple routine and bold creativity.

Michelle

Michelle first met Missy 15 years ago when she booked a trip to Mexico through her. She continued following Missy’s journey over the years, never knowing that she would eventually become part of the MisMacK story herself.

In the summer of 2026, Michelle invested in MisMacK. Just a few weeks later, Missy offered her what Michelle describes as the position of a lifetime. She jumped at the opportunity and joined the team to help strengthen relationships, support retailers, and grow the MisMacK community.
