Hello, MisMacK family and new friends!
I'm Missy MacKintosh, founder of MisMacK Clean Cosmetics, and this is my very first blog post—yes, after seven incredible years! It feels surreal to be typing this out because, honestly, I never imagined I'd start a blog. I also never thought I would start a cosmetic brand in my basement. But here we are, and I'm thrilled to share my journey and the heart of MisMacK with you.
From the very beginning, MisMacK was more than just a makeup line; it was a mission. Starting out in the basement of my small town home in Canoe, BC, I faced every hurdle you can imagine—from limited resources to industry scepticism (I’ll dive more into those stories in future blogs). But one thing I couldn't turn away from was the shocking reality of how self-regulated the beauty industry is. As a professional makeup artist whose work has been featured in *The Huffington Post*, *Cosmopolitan*, and *WedLuxe Magazine*, I couldn't compromise on the performance of my products. I needed clean products that actually worked.
Why MisMacK, you ask? Because I saw what was missing in the market and I couldn't unsee it. I couldn't find the products that met my standards—so I decided to create them. Along the way, I've been fueled by the support of our small but mighty community. Our brand has grown, but our essence remains the same: to innovate not just with exceptional products but with our educational approach to beauty. We're here to teach, to empower, and to revolutionise the cosmetics industry.
